Studdog (Ross)

For Yumis expected last litter I picked FTCh Waysgreen Barracuda (Thornship Gundogs).

Ross is a strong, black, handsome, very biddable dog I kept an eye on for a long time now. In addition to his successes in various field trials and working tests, he stands out for its extremely cute nature. Ross is a MUST to love. He works very stylish, has a good nose and is very trainable. I met also two dogs of his offspring. The 11 months old Logo (Photos below), a very talented, open-minded young dog and the 5 months old Monti, calm, friendly and unafraid. I was very impressed by both, by Ross anyway!

Ross sire FTCh Emmawood Drake was a very successful dog who qualified 4 times for the IGL Retriever Championship. 2012 he managed a 4th place. He was also a member of the Scottish team that won at the Game Fair in 2008.
Emmawood Drakes sire FTCh Hatchfield Feargal is a son of FTCh Kenue Fir of Leadburn and FTCh Lettermore Tide of Hatchfield. Emmawood Drakes dam FTW Greenbriar Vogue is an offspring of FTCh Lafayette Tolley who gained one 3rd & one 4th place at the IGL Retriever Championship and FTW Greenbriar Solitaire.

Ross dam FTW Waterford Faustina is out of a very successful mating of FTCh Willowyck Ruff with FTCh Waterford Covey. Well-known siblings of Waterford Faustina are FTCh Waterford Featherman, FTCh Waterford Fergus and FTW Waterford Falcon. She is a fast, stylish bitch.
Her sire Willowyck Ruff was 1. at the IGL Retriever Championship 2007. He is said to inherit a very nice character. Ruff is traced back to FTCh Willowyck Henman, FTCh Pocklea Remus, FTCh Haretor Mark of Drakeshead and FTCh Tasco Dancing Brave of Willowyck. Faustinas dam Waterford Covey is an offspring of FTCh Flashmount Socrates (4th IGL Retriever Championship 1999) and FTCh Crosbyrose Piper of Waterford.

All in all a very promising pedigree with some names can be find again in Yumis pedigree also. Yumi and Ross are also optically a harmonious pair.

From that mating I’m expecting healthy, very motivated, biddable and easy to train puppies and I’m very happy to keep a puppy out of the B-Litter for myself again!

Here some more pictures from Ross:
