Haru is already becoming very fussy about eating and her body temperature drops during the day. The night is still calm.
Wednesday 25.12.2024
Her body temperature dropped by 1 degree in the morning, which means it will start sometime in the next few hours. She spent the morning burrowing and sleeping and wanted to stay in the whelping box of her own accord. At 16:40 she lost a lot of transparent mucus, after which things really got going. The first puppy came at 6.15 pm, which was very exhausting for Haru, he didn’t come out straight away but clung to the afterbirth that was still inside Haru. The remaining 4 came at a very good pace and then Haru took a break. After about 1 hour I could see a few pushes, but nothing happened and Haru continued to rest. However, by then I didn’t have such a good feeling anymore 🙁 Another hour later Haru started pushing again and the last black female was born motionless. The afterbirth was already green in colour, the tongue totally pale – unfortunately the little mouse didn’t make it RIP little girl 🌈

The first two nights were very relaxed, the gang of five and their mum make a very happy impression. All the little ones have also put on a bit of weight – and things can go on like this! At the moment, everything in the little ones’ lives revolves around drinking and sleeping.

Today not directly about the puppies but about mum. Haru has decided she wants to go for a walk with me, and of course I fulfilled her wish. She was very happy to finally run like the wind again and really infected Gem and Yumi with her joy. But then she overdid it a little… 😅
At home, it was first washed and disinfected 🙈

The little ones all survived New Year’s Eve well, they can’t hear anything yet and haven’t noticed anything at all. They are now in their 2nd week of life and are slowly starting to become a little more mobile. Sometimes they even manage to walk on all fours and no longer crawl on the floor 😉 Their eyes are slowly starting to open, little mini slits are already recognisable. Fergie and Rayleigh doubled their birth weight today on day 8, the other three will probably follow tomorrow. As you can see in the video, today was another very relaxed day 😎

Today was the first deworming, all of them survived it well.

A lot has happened, 3 of the 5 little ones have now opened their eyes and things are slowly coming to life 🙂 The little toys are being examined and they are biting into everything – even without teeth 😜

Today, day 17, they all have their eyes open, the 2nd deworming was due and the 5 minis were allowed to taste a small ball of tartar for the first time. They found it very tasty.

The E-litter on day 22, yesterday I offered them goat’s milk for the first time. I think it’s working quite well for the third time!

The minis will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and are starting to fight with each other 😉 In addition to Haru’s milk, they are now getting a little puppy food with goat’s milk.

Another week has passed, tomorrow the little E’s will be 5 weeks old. They have had their first visitors and are now very active. They are also eating puppy food, but mum’s milk is still better 🙂

Today the puppies explored the playroom. While they were busy there, I was able to take down the whelping box in front, build up the ramp and clean the puppy toilet properly in peace and quiet. I can’t wait to see when the first one goes outside through the hatch 😀

The minis are now 6 weeks old, they are really lively and explore everything you show them.

The minis are going through a difficult time at the moment, they have their first real diarrhoea 🙁 But as you can see in the video, they are generally feeling well so far.

After the puppies were given antibiotics on Wednesday, things are looking up – they are all eating like real Labradors again and making lovely sausages!!! Today they got their vaccination passports and were chipped for tomorrow’s litter inspection.

Today was litter inspection, everything was fine again 🙂
The puppies grow up in the living area, with direct family contact. Direct access to the outdoor run, various surfaces and play opportunities, regular contact with the adult dogs. Additional play and activity room, which is used regularly.
Mother dog in good condition, very relaxed, no longer lactating. Adventurous and open-minded puppies who are lovingly reared.

Today the 5 minis are 8 weeks old and they have already practised taking a step back.

First TreasureYarden’s Edison (Edison) starts his journey to Switzerland, where he is allowed to share his new life with two Labbi Ladies
Shortly afterwards, TreasureYarden’s Eclair (Fergie) also makes her way to Gundelfingen to make the Black Forest unsafe together with her new big sister Emma.

The last one to move out today was TreasureYarden’s Edy (Rayleigh), he stays close by and we will certainly see each other again soon.
